13 Songs brings together the two EPs that first introduced the group's unique hybrid of hardcore, funk, and art-rock. And while Fugazi's music has since grown in sophistication, fan favorites such as "Waiting Room" and "Margin Walker" are early indicators that something decent can come out of our nation's capital. --Bill Forman.
It was originally recorded in June and released in November on vinyl and again in on the compilation release 13 Songs along with the following EP Margin Walker.
Margin Walker - Vinyl LP Record/Vinyl + Digital Album This is Fugazi's second release recorded in December with John Loder while the band was in England for a European tour. These songs were later combined with the tracks from the band's debut "7 Songs" EP and released as "13 Songs.".
Fugazi Songs (track 11) mixed at: Southern Studios in Wood Green, Haringey, London, England, United Kingdom () (tracks 8–13).
The soundtrack featured demos, jams, and incidental cutting room scraps. Fugazi's sixth proper album, The Argument (), was simultaneously issued with the three-song Furniture EP. Outside Fugazi, both MacKaye and Picciotto helped other bands with production. MacKaye continued to operate Dischord, and Lally began his own label, Tolotta.
